Four key resources I used in 2012:
1) Podcasts: Manager Tools Interviewing Series
- http://www.manager-tools.com/interviewing-series
- Per their web site: The Interview Casts Are 15 Podcasts, with shownotes and slides, that cover the entire process of Interviewing. We believe it's the most complete and detailed repository of actionable interviewing in the world.
- $150, for lifetime subscription.
2) Book: "WInning Job Interviews", by Dr. Paul Powers
3) Mock interviews: Career coach Sherry Burford
4) Professional peers, most also looking for work.
- Tompkins County Workforce New York's "POD" group.
- Obtain real live support, ideas-in-action, networking at all levels and privilege, learning opportunities, socializing. And hope and donuts. :-)
- Formal bi-weekly meetings. Additional meeting opportunities, if motivated.

The workshop I attended (June 2012) by David Makar taught me more effective, life-long approaches to professional networking. He is incredibly thoughtful, and I highly recommend his workshops and consulting services, especially if you run a small business:

I met Ravi when he came in as a guest speaker (6/6/2012) to Dave Makar's workshop (see above). Ravi and I had a chance to talk a bit after his presentation, and I got good vibes regarding his capabilities as a Life Coach:
