Thank you!

Copied below (mostly for historical reasons?) are some of the ways we asked for help. We are so thankful and grateful to all of our family and friends who helped and lent their support in large and small ways. And of course we always love to hear from you, and we continue to benefit from the generosity of many of you. Thank you!

[back to Amelia's recovery]

What you can do today (top level summary)

1) Offer Amelia and her family messages of love, support, and encouragement at our Guestbook. [more info]

2) Review our special Google document to find ways you can help us out in the short and longer-term. We really appreciate everyone's on-going and generous help. [more info]

Thank you for all the colorful cards, flowers, books, and other thoughtful items you all had sent Amelia to her hospital room. They meant so much to her and her family!

What you can do today (details)

1) Consider offering Amelia and her family messages of love, support, and encouragement at our Guestbook. (Thank you for not overwhelming us with direct emails.) The CaringBridge Guestbook requires you to be registered and signed in to CaringBridge (not this web site) in order to sign our guestbook (this helps prevent spam). Please do us the favor of going through that hoop to share your thoughts with us. Thank you!

2) Amelia tires quickly, and that includes talking on the phone so please try to refrain from calling her. We want to make sure she has the energy to speak with her close family, of course. However, Amelia appreciates and welcomes colorful cards and other items at her rehab hospital room. She's at the following address:

Amelia Habicht

Room 622C

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital

125 Nashau Street

Boston, MA 02114

Thank you!

3) We are extremely grateful for the very many special ways people are prepared to jump in and help us, and your compassion, energy, and understanding will be especially valuable to us in the months ahead. We're moved by all the offers of support we've received. I'm delighted to report that in the short-term, all our critical needs are being met (you know who you are!!), and it's truly wonderful to know that we don't have to worry about our house, etc.

If you think you might be able to assist Amelia and her family in the weeks and months ahead, please review our special Google document to find ways you can help us out in the short and longer-term. That document lists our needs as we come to understand them, and will help us coordinate everyone's generous willingness to fill many of them. Thank you all so very, very much!
